Word of warning:its culchie day!!!

Today is the day that you risk your life in the name of bargain shopping..why is this so!? because the 8th of December is notorious for everyone outside of dublin to converge on all the shops in the run upto Chrimbo!.

The 8th of December has always been a holy day in Ireland that  most people, get given the day off for and that has lead to it being renamed as culchie day! so if you go into town and feel like you have walked into penneys at peak time on a Saturday then you now know whats going on!!

Below some famous Culchies!

Jackie healy Rae the one cuchie that lets the rest of us down spectacularly!!
Grainne and Sile Seoige the two culchie women that we all idolise for making it in the big Shmoke!!
Tommy and Hector theyre from my native Meath and empitimise the word culchie!!!

One month to chrimbo!!

Christmas is coming...and with that comes empty pockets!! So to get value for your buck this season here are some link to Christmas markets that are full of little treasures for little prices and are taking place in Dublin over this festive period!
I know with all this talk of IMF,budgets and the rest, spending money seems impossible, but by giving support to our Irish products we can help each other out of this darn recession
so lets give and receive a little Christmas cheer this year we deserve it! !

Charity Chooseday

Eccentric Electric Blue.....Katy Perry is well known for her quirky style,Not so long ago she bravely broke all boundaries by dying her hair an electric blue...for most of us this really is over rebellious but if you fancy bringing out your inner rebel in a more subtle way, these fabulous electric blue high heels (size 6) can be bought in Whitefriars Charity shop near Aungier St at a lovely €4 so why not go mad!?

Camel this, Camel that...Its all over the high street at the moment and now for €10 you can join in the trend with this blazer (size 14) from SVP Aungier St. it also has a hint of military going on so grab it while you can!

One for the fellas......and a little eye candy for the ladies too..above a DKNY male model suporting the infamous designer  brand but before you start to consider all the sacrificing you boys are going to do to have to make for these jeans fear not...on my search this week I spotted a fab pair of male jeans (33/33)  for €15 in Oxfam Georges street.

Handbag of the week:This Green snakeskin style handbag from Enable Ireland Georges St really is a brilliant find at €12.50 where would you be going!

ITS CHARITY CHOOSEDAY..

This is an aran style, medium sized, off white jumper that I found in SVP Aungier St. which costs a fantastic €8.Aran styles are very in at the moment,Below Alexa Chung wearing a similar Cardi in a photo op for Grazia magazine.

Here is another fashion must have from SVP. This pink silk skirt (size 14) would really look glam with a black top on a night out and with the cost at4 theres no reason not to grab this brilliant bargain!!Even Khloe Kardashian from E! television show keeping up with the Kardashians is loving this look!

Enable Ireland on Camden St has a fab amount of highstreet and designer handbags this one above is valued at €29.99 but is a staple buy for any wardrobe and the money is going towards a very worthy charity.I think its very similar to the Mulberry Alexa bag(which costs approx €790 ) so great value for your money dont ya think?!.

The final piece for this weeks Charity Chooseday segment is this beautiful Awear dress which costs €20 at the Irish Cancer Societys shop on Camden St. As you are probably well aware this month is breast cancer awareness month and with all of us knowing someone effected by this awful disease I think youll agree all donations recieved are truelly deserved.
